Glenn & Clare
Senior Pastors
Glenn & Clare Wysman are the senior pastors of The Link Church. They have been married since 1995 and have three children.
Glenn was born in Manly on Sydney's Northern Beaches and has lived, worked and played in the area all his life. Clare was born in Armidale, New South Wales and has lived in Armidale, Geelong - Victoria, Sydney's Eastern suburbs and on the Northern Beaches.
Glenn & Clare first started in ministry on the anniversary of their first year of marriage. They began with joining the youth team at Northern Beaches Christian Centre. After a number of years Glenn was appointed youth pastor of the Church. Glenn, together with Clare, experienced the group become a significant youth group on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. In 1999 Clare gave birth to their first child and together they handed over the position of pastoring youth. Throughout 2000 -2004 Glenn and Clare ministered in a pastoral capacity at the church, coordinating and leading various small groups and services.
In 2004 Pastor Paul O'Sullivan, senior minister of Northern Beaches Christian Centre, released Glenn & Clare to start a Sunday night outreach in Narrabeen. After a period of nine months, from a small team of eight, the outreach grew and was planted as a church on the 7th of November 2004. Thus The Link Church was 'born'.
The Link Church is a local church passionate about the Northern Beaches of Sydney, devoted to impacting all generations and reaching the world for Christ.
In January 2006 Glenn commenced on staff, part time at The Link Church and part time in business. Prior to that Glenn trained as a pilot and worked in the corporate world for 15 years as a Product Manager.
Clare studied at university level for six years, attaining an Arts degree with a double major in linguistics and psychology and a Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology). Since graduating as a Speech Pathologist in 1996 she has worked in both the public and private sectors, running her own private practice since 1999 which she currently runs part time along with her roles at The Link Church.

Our Vision
To link people to God, to each other and to the Church.
Our Mission
To be known for our passion, our purpose, our people - to see people planted, growing and fulfilling God's plans.
Our Core Values
passion - We believe Jesus has a call for our lives and this creates a passion in us to discover the call of God that is specific for us.
Philippians 3:12-14 "...I keep working toward that day when I will finally be all that Christ Jesus saved me for and wants me to be...I am still not all that I should be, but I am focusing all my energies on this one thing; Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I strain to reach the end of the race and receive the prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us up to heaven."
purpose - God's thoughts, plans and purposes are good, individual for each person and for our future. The message of Jesus and our message is a message of hope.
Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the thoughts I think toward you", says the Lord, "thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope."
people - God spent one chapter of the Bible creating the earth, and the rest He dedicated to people, and the redemption of them. We are people who love God as number one and who have a heart to reach out to others.
Matthew 22:37-38 Jesus said, "You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind." This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is equally important: "Love your neighbour as yourself".

The Local Church Certificate provides a unique opportunity to develop and connect the body of Christ. Based upon Alphacrusis College's excellent e-learning modules, students spend time reflecting and studying in the comfort of their local church.
The program is designed to resource individuals and is further complemented when a group of students join together in their local church to discuss what has been learned. It is at this point the local church has an integral part to play.
A facilitator oversees the group, encouraging and providing guidance with the course material. Eight subjects are covered, providing the students with a sound, practical grounding in the Word of God.
The fieldwork component of the course provides 25% hands-on training in the local church, a valuable asset to any Senior Pastor.
This program is an amazing opportunity to not only empower the individual but will also provide a safe environment in which to develop relationships. Regardless of your background or age group, this course brings with it the uniting bond of the Word and invariably, community.
COURSE UNITS
Introduction to the Old Testament
The Old Testament is both strangely familiar and totally foreign to most of us. We will explore the major themes of the Old Testament in order to know better the God revealed therein.
Introduction to the New Testament
We each need to develop a better understanding of this foundational document of the Christian faith. We address the history, theology and themes of the New Testament.
God, Creation & Redemption
What do we believe and how should it affect our lives? Theology is the very practical exercise of 'faith seeking understanding'. We start with the theory and practive of theology and then examine the Christian doctrines of God, Creation and Redemption.
Spirit, Church & Growth
We continue our survey of the major doctrines of Christianity, looking at the Holy Spirit, the Church and the Christian hope and demonstrating their relevance to the Christian life.
Leadership Principles
Both within the church and in society there is evidence of rapid change concerning the place of leadership and management practices. We look at the place of leadership and various approaches to leadership within the Church.
Evangelism
Evangelism is an essential expression of healthy Christian faith. We examine the components of effective evangelism and discipleship, and emphasise the empowering role of the Holy Spirit in evangelism.
Fieldwork 1: Introduction to Church Ministries
Provides opportunity for exposure to the theory and practice of various church ministries including: the components of Sunday meetings, children's ministry, youth ministry, small groups, church administration, and counseling.
Fieldwork 2: Church Leadership
Provides opportunity to participate in specific ministry functions including: leading a prayer meeting, preparing and delivering a message for children and/or youth, worship leading, altar ministry, and visitation.
What We Believe
We believe that the Bible is God's Word. It is accurate, authoritative and applicable to our every day lives.
We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy.
We believe that sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ as both God and man is the only One who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His victory and empower us for life.
We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and be 'born again' we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to His will for our lives.
We believe that in order to live the holy and fruitful lives that God intends for us, we need to be baptised in water and be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit enables us to use spiritual gifts, including speaking in tongues which is the initial evidence of baptism in the Holy Spirit.
We believe that God has individually equipped us so that we can successfully achieve His purpose for our lives which is to worship God, fulfil our role in the Church and serve the community in which we live.
We believe that God wants to heal and transform us so that we can live healthy and prosperous lives in order to help others more effectively.
We believe that our eternal destination of either Heaven or hell is determined by our response to the Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised.
